Sunday May 27th:  It's The Little Things

Small bites!  Quite frankly I can't come up with a succinct explaination as to why I chose this topic this time around, other than: I love small things.  And when food comes into the picture, there are no exceptions.  Come find out why I'm speechless for all dishes small and individually sized.  You don't have to be a Slow Food member to attend.  Bring a partner, a friend, or come solo and learn why it's the little things that count!

The Details:

This class takes place in my (Jessica Bongard's) home kitchen, located in Jericho, VT.  I'll be leading you in a class involving appetizer sized dishes. Every culture has a name for it and whatever you call it; Pinxtos, Tapas, Mezze, Nosh, Nibble or Snack, I am smitten.  Check out how to rock the small scene in a big way.

The Recipes: 

Parmesan Crisps - Little crisp cups filled with avocado, chile, and lime.  Served with a sip of bubbly.

Zucchini & Dill Fritters -  Made with whipped feta, olive oil and fried until crispy....squeeze of lemon.

Endive Leaves - with Roquefort, grapes, and radish with pistachio vinaigrette.

Salmon Rillettes Cones - you'll have to see it to believe it:)  

Chocolate Tahini Buttons - tiny cookies made with millet, rice, and quinoa flours.  Wicked good.
